Calligraphy+Tea with Ines Sun (Hybrid) Fall / 4 Sessions
The moments when the brush gets in contact with the paper is like when leaves contact the water to make the tea. It calls for our awareness of the mind and body and reflects the different states of us. We are practicing not only the artistry of calligraphy but also training our minds during this process.
The onsite workshop is limited to 4 and follows COVID health guidelines.
TIME: October 10 & 24, November 7 & 21, 2-3:30pm
The price includes 4 sessions of the workshop with optional group virtual practice on the alternative week.

Ines Sun, artist and tea lover, creator of the Wild Lily Tea Room in Chelsea in 1997-2006, sole adventurist in the world of art and tea…has incorporated tea and calligraphy in her installation, the teahouse project-TianDiChaWu, to explore how one's mind can be led to a higher consciousness through the ritual of tea and calligraphy.
